The Columbia River Crossing (CRC) project will improve the
mobility, reliability, and accessibility for automobile,
freight, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian users of the
Interstate 5 (I-5) bridge over the Columbia River and for five
miles of I-5 between State Route 500 (SR 500) in Washington
and Columbia Boulevard in Oregon. Heffron Transportation
prepared all analyses related to truck conditions and
operations in this corridor. This work included detailed
documentation of existing truck volumes, travel routes, and
issues within the bridge influence area in order to define how
I-5 can be designed to meet the important economic need for
truck mobility between Washington State and Oregon. |
