Laura is a Senior Transportation Engineer who leads the
firm’s practices on developments with unusual trip
characteristics such as gravel mines, private schools,
transfer stations, and justice centers. She has provided
transportation planning and traffic engineering consulting
services since 1988, and joined Heffron Transportation in
1997. Her experience ranges from complex transportation
analyses for a variety of projects including corridor analyses
and area-wide transportation plans to transportation studies
for urban mixed-use developments and transportation demand
management plans. Many of her analyses have been incorporated
into environmental review documents. She is an effective
communicator and works to simplify complex transportation
analyses into easy-to-understand reports and presentations.
Laura is a Professional Civil Engineer licensed in Washington
and Oregon. She is also a licensed Professional Traffic
Operations Engineer. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Civil Engineering from the University of Portland where she
focused on transportation. Laura is a member of the Institute
of Transportation Engineers and the Transportation Research
Board.
